EAD Series: 40 to 500 mW Single C- and L-Band Erbium Fiber Amplifiers

The integrated and versatile EAD Series Single-Channel C-Band (1533 nm to 1570 nm) and L-Band (1570 nm to 1610 nm) Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifiers are conveniently packaged for use in OEM, laboratory or product-development applications. Amplification is achieved via multimode diode pumping coupled into a multi-clad Ytterbium-Erbium doped active fiber.

Everything is contained in one bench-top instrument, including the EDFA with a choice of 40 mW to 500 mW saturated output power. The user-friendly front panel includes a monitor display, a keyed on/off switch, power control and fiber input/output monitor. RS-232 and GPIB controls are also provided on the rear panel. These universal devices operate in the temperature range of 0-50 C and operate with a power supply of 100/110/220V AC (50/60 Hz).
